Obituary
Mary Katherine Tinner, 95, passed away on October 25th at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She graduated from Hazleton High School in 1947 and furthered her education at McCann School of Business. She worked for Luzerne County until her retirement.
Prior to it closing, she was very active in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church being on various committees, a member of the choir and pianist for the Sunday School. She was a treasurer of the Hazleton Enlarged Ministry and volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels. Currently she was a member of Lattimer United Methodist Church.
A private service will be held at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton with Pastor Todd Glasmire officiating. Burial will be at Sky-View Memorial Park.
A thank you to the staff at Mt. City for their care and kindness during Mary Katherine’s stay of eight years. -
