Obituary
With deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother and step-mother, Gloria Jean Plesce. Preceding in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, John J. Plesce on April 3, 2026.
Born July 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Genevieve (Huen) Hess. She is also preceded in death by her brother John William Hess.
Surviving are her children, son James William Frymoyer of Berwick; step-children Jeannie Palmer and husband Jeffrey, Drums, Michele Chrzanowski and husband Edward, Dushore, Christopher Plesce and fiancé Mindy Laubach Young, Berwick, Clarissa Yonkin and husband Patrick Dushore; 19 grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Larry Hess of Cape May; sister-in-law of her late brother Sue Runningbear Hess; and a host of loving family, friends along the way.
Outside of her family, she dedicated her LPN career to care for others bringing her patients and clients comfort and compassion. Her care extended to decades of service at White Haven Center.
Gloria and her husband had adventurist spirits and loved to travel from coast to coast. She was also a crafter with a passion for gifting others with her work and unique creativity.
She lived well, laughed often and loved deeply.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 8th, at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. - Guestbook
