Obituary
Josephine R. Korengo, 94, of Hazle Twp., passed away Sunday at her home. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Florence (Pastorella) Panzarella and was a member of St. Nazarius Church in Pardeesville, where she taught Sunday school and First Holy Communion classes and was a long-time member of the choir. In later years she was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Edward J. Korengo in 2017; sister Rosetta Hydock; and brother Louis Panzarella.
Surviving are her sons Edward, and Kenneth and wife Kathleen; grandsons Logan and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16th, at 10 A.M. in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning in the church from 9-10 A.M.
The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements. -
