      June Ford Evangelista, 104, passed away Saturday at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hazle Twp. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late James and Amanda (Seiwell) Ford.
       
      June was a 1938 graduate of Hazleton High School, lifelong worshiper at the former Emmanuel Reformed Church (now part of Faith United Church of Christ), a member of the Hazleton Women’s Club for 27 years, an avid bridge player and a charter member of the National World War II museum in New Orleans, LA. She was employed for many years as a stenographer and personal secretary.
       
      Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were husband Lawrence C. Evangelista, a former principal of Hazleton High School, along with four brothers and sisters.
       
      Surviving are a son Robert Evangelista and his wife Jacqueline of Stewartstown, PA; and a daughter Nancy Duffer and her husband Michael Duffer of Elizabeth City, NC; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
       
      The family will receive friends on Friday, June 12th, from 6-8 P.M. in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton.  Burial will be held privately in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, Hazleton.
