      Grace A. Dougherty, 89, of Hazle Twp., peacefully passed away Tuesday at the home of her granddaughter. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Cabell) Kinney.

      She will be remembered for her love of the casino, scratch off tickets, Harlequin Romance books and cooking for the whole family.

      Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband John in 2022; son John; and son-in-law Alan Sieverski.

      Surviving are her daughter Mary Beth Sieverski; and sons James Dougherty and wife Monica, and Robert Dougherty and wife Danielle; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

      Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 8th, at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish at Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton. Burial will be in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the church on Wednesday morning from 9-10 A.M.

      The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton is in charge of the arrangements.
