      Sue Ann Cervasio, 69, of West Hazleton, passed away Thursday at St. Luke Pavilion, Hazleton.  Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Gertrude ( Shemonsky) Cervasio.

      Sue graduated from Bishop Kearney High School, NY and graduated from Penn State University.  She continued her education at Kutztown and Scranton University.  She worked at PSU until she retired in 2016 as a staff assistant for the campus advising center.

      She was a loving sister, aunt and friend.  She loved helping people.  Her sister often heard that she was the kindest human being people had ever met.  She made a difference in every life she has touched.

      She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton and was a Eucharistic minister, member of the church choir, and lecturer.  She also helped at the child’s closet.

      Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her sister Mary Ann Jensen.

      Surviving are her sister Grace Zeleznock and her husband Jack; Hazle Twp; brother Frank Cervasio and his wife Pat, Atlanta; niece and goddaughter Amy Volski and husband Chris and their son Chase; nephew  and godson John Zeleznock and wife Reema and their children Gabriel and Julian; and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

      Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 8th, at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton from 5-7 P.M.

      In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Social Services, 106 S. Church St., Hazleton PA 18201.
