Victor “Woody” E. Miles III, 38, of Hazle Twp., passed away Wednesday at his home. Born in Voorhees, NJ, he was the son of Victor E. Miles Jr. and Lisa A. (Borchetta) Stewart.

Woody graduated from Perkiomen Valley High School in 1998. He than studied music at Camden County College in Blackwood, N.J. 

Woody had many talents which included surveying, cell tower technician and chef at many different restaurants. He was also an avid musician who enjoyed music of all sorts and was very diverse on many instruments. His main passion was his guitars which he played in a few bands. Woody was also a drummer and a pianist. 

He was an expert gamer who competed nationally and was also an amateur film maker. Woody loved ice hockey and was a dedicated Detroit Red Wings fan. 

His daughter, Adriana, who was born in 2008, became the love of his life. He taught her to ice skate and play hockey. She could converse with any adult about the Detroit Red Wings and all the players. They attended and watched all the games. They also enjoyed attending concerts together, going camping, kayaking and fishing.

When Woody was your friend, you had a lifelong friend who would do anything for you. He was a loving, forgiving, humble, peace loving, sweet man who never held a grudge. He wanted everyone to get along. He also had an amazing sense of humor. Woody was recognized by his friends as one of the most intelligent persons they knew.

Preceding him in death, were his paternal grandparents Victor E. Sr. and Judith (Sigmund) Miles.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, were his daughter Adriana Rae Miles; maternal grandparents Charles and Laura (George) Borchetta; godparents aunt Arlene Borchetta and uncle Edwin Harvey Miles; and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the UTMA account of Adriana R. Miles at any PNC Bank.

The family will receive friends at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, on Thursday, January 3rd, from 6-8 P.M. His funeral service will be held at 7:30 P.M. and those attending will have the opportunity to share thoughts and memories prior to and after the funeral service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
