Thomas Anderson

Thomas “Chocky” Anderson, 90, of Hazleton, passed away Friday at St. Luke’s Hospital Miners.  Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Mitchell and Mary (Panco) Anderson and was member of St. Cyril and Methodius Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, Hazleton.

He was an Army Veteran during the Korean War.  He worked in Maintenance at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his granddaughter Nicole Anderson; sisters Mary Corrado, Dorothy Eisenberger, Margaret Woodman, and Irene Montgomery; brothers John and Paul Anderson.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, the former Sara Parlatore; daughter Sherry Longo and her husband James, Hazleton; great grandson Edan Anderson; sister-in-law Connie Anderson, NY; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 13th, at 10 A.M. in St. Cyril and Methodius Parish at St. Joseph’s Church.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the church on Wednesday morning from 9 A.M. until the time of the mass.
