Robert W. “Butch” Cauley, 79, of Hazleton, passed away Sunday morning at his home.  Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late William and Lois (Engler) Cauley.

He was an Army Veteran and retired as the owner of L.B.L. Appliance Service Company.  He was also a member of the Nescopeck Gun Club.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his son L. Raymond Cauley.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, high school sweethearts, the former Carol Cerullo; children Danielle Cauley and her husband Bryan Budzynski, DE, Robert J. Cauley and his wife Dina, Hazleton, Thomas Cauley and his wife Jennifer, AZ, and John, Todd, and Justin Cauley, Hazleton; grandchildren Robert Cauley and his fiancé Lesley Piacente, and Shawn Cauley, Ethan, Mia, and Adam Budzynski, Thomas, Sam, Max, and Zac Cauley, and Carol Ann Cauley; siblings Dale Cauley and his wife Patricia, Thomas Cauley and his wife Geraldine, Jack Cauley, Lynn Houser and her husband Kerry, Karen Argust and her husband Robert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 5th, at 9:30 A.M. in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 P.M in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Catholic Social Services or to the Hazleton Area Public Library.
