Robert R. DeVigili Sr.

Robert R. DeVigili Sr., 84, of Medford, NJ, passed away Friday night at the Smaritan Center, Voorhees, NJ.  Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Adam and Esther (Farrow) DeVigili.

Bob served 20 years in the United States Air Force traveling as Far East as Spain and as far west as Hawaii with his family. The majority of his career was spent as a Communications Specialist and technical trainer, finishing as a squadron First Sergeant. Bob achieved the rank of Master Sergeant prior to retiring from the Defense Logistics Command at Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton Ohio. 

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his first wife of 41 years, the former Janet Wright in 1996.

Surviving are his second wife of 17 years, the former Alice (Augustitus) Kreisl; children Susan DeVigili and her husband Rick Rudisel, Anthony DeVigili and his wife Denise MacLeish, Theresa Cabana, Robert and Irena DeVigili, Maryanne and David Lolick and Dina DeVigili; step-son and wife Rick and Debbie Kreisl; 14 Grandchildren; one step Grandchild; and 12 great Grandchildren.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21st, at 10 A.M. in Annunciation Parish at St. Gabriel’s Church, Hazleton.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. 

The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project,
