Miriam H. Grazio

Miriam H. Grazio, 92, of Hazleton, passed away Tuesday night at her home surrounded by her loved ones.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Baron) Klotz.

She worked in the local garment industry and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.  Her garden was her pride and joy. Her dedication to it was obvious every year when beautiful flowers and healthy vegetables grew.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Joseph J. Grazio Sr., in 2004; son James J. Grazio in 2010; brothers Robert Hunsinger, and John and William Klotz; and sisters Nancy Freeman and Florence Krzmein.

Surviving are her daughters Jo-Ann Novak and her husband Bernard, Hazleton, and Linda Olexa, Hazle Twp; son Joseph J. Grazio Jr. and his wife Martha, Arizona; grandchildren Gina and Nicole Omolecki, Bernard Novak Jr. and his wife Julianne, Stanley Gillis, Kimberly van Lierop and her husband Hans, Jennifer Chapman, Heather C. Olexa, Ryan Novak, Nicole Tomsho, and Tony Grazio; great grandchildren Hannah Molinaro, Kaitlin Novak, Lucas van Lierop, Jude Tobias, Jacob van Lierop and Jackson Novak; sister Dorothy Otis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 18th, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
