Martha T. Barletta, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday, at Stuart Nursing Home, Stuart, FL.  A Hazleton native, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Saullo) Riccio. 

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and siblings, was her husband of 36 years, Maurice R. Barletta.

Surviving are her sons Tony and his wife Lynne, FL, Joe and his fiancé Michelle, Drums, Bobby and his wife Alexis, Drums; her daughter Angela and her husband Chris, CA; and several grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Martha married into a large Italian family that included 56 first cousins; all living within a few blocks of each other in Hazleton, PA.  Martha was part owner of the region’s largest amusement park, Angela Park. Angela Park was a destination for many people for over 30 years.  Martha was a wonderful cook and lived for her family. After her husband’s passing in 1984, Martha moved to Florida where she dedicated her time to serve God in the Catholic Church as a Eucharist minister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26th, at 10 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church, 240 S. Poplar St., Hazleton.  Friends and family are invited to visit the church on Saturday morning from 8:30 A.M. until the time of mass.
