Marie DeMatt, 88, of Grant St., passed away Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.  Born in Hollers Hill, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Boyle) Imbert and was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.

She was a 1947 graduate of Hazle Twp High School.  She worked in the cafeteria department in the Hazleton Area School District.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Michael A. DeMatt in 2002; sister Josephine Braskie; and brothers Theodore and Anthony Imbert.

Surviving are her daughters Nancy Brennan and her husband James, Lattimer, Michelle Hinkle and her husband Francis, Hazleton, and Lynn George, Hazleton; son Michael DeMatt and his wife Lynne, Harrisburg; grandchildren Amanda Zullo, Briana and Nicholas George, Alexander Brennan, Francesca Hinkle, and Mikayla and Madelyn DeMatt; great grandchildren Giavanna and Maria Zullo; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 14th, at 9:30 A.M.  in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday morning in the church from 8:30 A.M. until the time of mass.

The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Central PA, 101 Erford Rd., Suite 201, Camp Hill, PA  17011.
