Marie C.  Fluri, 95, passed away Tuesday morning at St. Luke Manor where she had been a resident.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Antoinette (Laviano) Sharp and was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

She and her husband owned and operated Fluri’s bar and grill for 40 years specializing in homemade Italian food.  She worked in the local garment industry and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.  She was a very loving and caring mom and grandmother.  Marie was the life of the party and always entertained everyone with her colorful vocabulary.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Anthony “Patty” Fluri in 2008; son Tony in 2016; and sisters Rose Voytek, Anna Gentle, and Carmella Sacco.

Surviving are her daughters Carole Ator and her husband John, Lancaster, and Patricia Craig and her husband Charles, Hazleton; grandchildren Jeffrey Ator and his wife Tina, Jaime Tull and her husband Philip, Lindsay Wagner and her husband Eric, John Craig and his wife Jessica, Charlie Craig, and Rachel Fluri; great grandchildren Nicholas, Jeffrey, and Samuel Ator, Nakyrah Fluri, Delvon Carter, T’aghijanay Craig, Justin Tull, and Cole Wagner; sister Stella Donlin, Hazleton; brother Anthony Sharp, Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 10th, at 9:30 A.M. in Most Precious Blood Church.  Those attending should go directly to the  church Friday morning.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, from 6-8 P.M.
