Margaret Lamanna Matteo, 96, a lifelong resident of Hazleton, passed away Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Kathryn (Muldowney) Grazio and was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

She was the office manager for Catholic Social Services for many years.  Her legacy however, was that she was a devoted mother who had proven to be very resourceful and was supportive of her children and grandchildren throughout her entire life.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her first husband Clarence Lamanna in 1954; second husband Jerry A. Matteo in 2007; sisters Catherine White and Dorothy Boyle; brothers Anthony T. Grazio and Joseph Grazio.

Surviving are her sons Lawrence Lamanna and his wife Diane, Hazleton, and Clarence Lamanna and his wife Sandie, Clark Summit; daughter Kathleen Thompson and her husband Rick, Lititz, PA; grandchildren Stacey Bottley and her husband Mark, Anthony Lamanna and his wife Beth, Alaina Davis and her husband Atwood, Richard Thompson and his wife April, and Nathan Thompson, Atty. Brendan Lamanna and his wife Kaitlin, and Chiara Zigray and her husband Ryan; great grandchildren Lauren and Madelyn Lamanna, Hudson Bottley, Atwood and Archer Davis, Roxie Thompson, Cori Steinour, Emma Lamanna, and Kai and Kirstyn Zigray; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 25th, at 11 A.M. in Most Precious Blood Church.  Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.  The family will receive friends on Thursday morning in the church from 10 A.M. until the time of mass.

The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Social Services, 214 W. Walnut St., Hazleton, or to the Most Precious Blood Church, 131 E. 4 St., Hazleton.
