Joseph Sr. started the business in 1939.

He was born and raised in Hazleton. 

Joseph Sr. earned his degree from Dolans College of Mortuary Science in Philadelphia. 

He had two sons with his wife, the late Bertha George. 

During World War II, Joseph Sr. enlisted in the Army from 1942-1946.  For that period of time, his mother, Dora Moran, and a close friend ran the business.

Joseph A. Moran Jr. became President of the business in 1979.

He was born and raised in Hazleton.

Joseph Jr. has a bachelor of Science degree from Kings College, and graduated from Simmons School of Mortuary Science in Syracuse, NY.

He had two daughters with his wife, the former Suzanne Seymour.

Melissa (Moran) Berlitz was also born and raised in Hazleton. 

Melissa has earned a degree from Luzerne County Community College and a degree from Northampton Mortuary School in Bethlehem. 

She married a local Funeral Director, Daniel Berlitz, and started a family soon after.

Melissa and Daniel now have two sons of their own.

Daniel Berlitz was born and raised in Drums and earned a degree from Luzerne County Community College and Northampton Mortuary School in Bethlehem.

He married Melissa in 2000 and started working with the Moran Funeral Home about a year later.

Melissa and Daniel now have two sons of their own.
