Frances “Fran” Lusky

Frances “Fran” Lusky, 75, of Hazleton, passed away Tuesday at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Lillie (Christino) Dragonette and was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, Hazleton.

She attended Empire Beauty School and then worked in the beauty salon for Deisroth’s Department Store.  After she retired, she enjoyed being a housewife.  She loved her family and her home and also loved going out to dinners, going to dances, and visiting the casinos.

Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Emil T. Lusky; brother Carl Dragonette and his wife Angela, Wyomissing; sister Lillie Cabell and her husband Mauro, Hazleton; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 29th, at 10 A.M. in St. Cyril and Methodius Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, 604 N. Laurel St., Hazleton.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Hazleton.  The family will receive friends on Monday morning in the church from 9 A.M. until the time of mass.
