Elizabeth “Betty” Filoreto, 94, formerly of Hazleton, passed away Sunday at the Gardens at West Shore, Camp Hill, where she had been a resident.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Tomasi) Flaim and was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband George N. Filoreto, in 1989; and sister Ethel Rymond.

Surviving are her children Margaret Whipple and her husband Jack, Harrisburg, Joanne Richmond and her husband Wayne, Herndon, VA, Mary Rose and her husband Roger, Yellville, AR, Elizabeth Dinnin and her husband William, Atlanta, GA and Albert Filoreto and his wife Barbara, Harrisburg; grandchildren Nicky and Stacey Semuta, Scott Richmond, Julia Dolman, Eileen and Sam Dinnin and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 28th, at 9:30 A.M. in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church.  Those attending should go directly to the church Friday morning.  Burial will be in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, on Thursday from 6-8 P.M
