Dennis R. Moore Sr. CPA, 66, of Hazleton, passed away Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.  Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Gloria C. (Esposito) Moore was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

He was a 1969 graduate of Hazleton High School and was a 1974 graduate of Wilkes University.  A certified  public accountant, he was partner with Parente Randolph for 28 years and then founded Moore and Associates  with his son, Robert, in 2007.  He was a member of PICPA and the AICPA and was member of the Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.  He was a very generous, giving, and charitable man and wanted no recognition and always thought of himself last.  His joys of his life were his sons and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, the former Roberta DeMatt; sons Dennis R. Moore Jr., and his wife Angela, Hazleton, and Robert M. Moore and his wife Katie, Hazleton; grandchildren Jackson, Olivia, Patrick, and Victoria Moore; sister Carol Ann Samler and her husband Wilbert, Conyngham; sister-in-law Carol Hoppy and her husband Robert; brother-in-law Lawrence J. DeMatt; beloved cousin Jean DeMatt; and family friend Epifanio Xique; and several nieces and nephews.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 5th, at 9:30 A.M. in Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.  Those attending should go directly to church on Monday morning.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.  Friends may call at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, on Sunday from 4-7 P.M.

He fought a 51 year battle with Type 1 Diabetes, and the family would appreciate memorial donation, in lieu of flowers, to the American Diabetes Association or the Holy Family Academy.
