Daniel J. Giordano, 35, of Freeland, passed away Sunday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital where he spent 11 days following a tragic motorcycle accident. Born in Hackettstown, NJ, he was the son of Maryanne Wilmouth, VA, and the late Frank Giordano.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, the former Trista Dixon; daughters Jacey and Gia Giordano; step-sons Jeffrey and Jude Pfeiffer; step-father, Bill Wilmouth and step-mother, Margaret Partington; brother Frank Giordano, his wife Ashlee and two daughters, Olivia and Vivian; sisters, Kelly Chicarelli, her husband Mike and two sons, Conlan and Bowdan, Shannon Marhold and her husband Chris and daughter Sierra, and Christy Kuniega and her husband Tim and sons Bryce and Colton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dan was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing and kayaking. He ran many races, and his most proud moments were that of the Spartan Races.

The light of Dan's life were his wife, daughters and step-sons and their two dogs, Apollo and Daphne. His family came first in every aspect of his life. He worked at Citterio USA Corp for 8 years, where he, as of recently, began to learn the art of trimming prosciutto, and was also a Shop Steward for the UFCW Local 1776.  He took pride in the fact that he was such a hard working individual, and loved his job and co-workers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16th, at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, from 11 A.M.-1 P.M. and 5-8 P.M.  His wife Trista will be presenting his eulogy at 6 P.M.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
