Amelia M. Yacowatz, 93, of Hazleton, passed away Tuesday morning in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (DeMatt) Palmisano and was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

She was employed at Hazle Dress Company and Tung Sol.  Amelia enjoyed cooking for her family

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Dominick on April 6, 1975; brothers and sisters Maurice and Cosmo Palmasano, Joseph, James, Lawrence, and Anthony Plesh, Katherine Scatton Cara, Theresa Maiese, Mildred Wicker, and Rose Tolerico.

Surviving are her children Joseph Yacowatz and Karen Riccuitti and her husband Richard; granddaughter Kayla Riccuitti; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6th, at 10 A.M. in Most Precious Blood Church.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.  The family will receive friends on Saturday morning in the church from 9 A.M. until the time of mass.

The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements.
